Rev. Blanche Short’s years of walking with God, were enhanced by varied ministries in which she was privileged to serve. In addition to many years of pastoring, she served as a missionary to alcoholics and children of downtown Brooklyn, New York, USA. She also served as Supervisor of 100 Huntley Street Counselling Centre for the province of Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada sharing hope to the broken, wounded lives seeking spiritual guidance. Today, she still ministers as God opens doors to fill pulpits, speak at ladies gatherings and other opportunities to share His word.

Cicely van Straten lived her formative years in Uganda. She has published a number of books for South African children and youth. Her book, Huberta’s Journey, earned a White Raven Award. She now lives in South Africa and writes for adult readers as well.

Dan Byrne is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada and the English Pastor at the Ottawa Chinese Bible Church. He holds a Master of Divinity and an MA in Global Studies from Providence Theological Seminary. He has lived his faith in China, Japan, the United States and Canada and now lives in Ottawa, Ontario with his wife Jean and three children.

Prior to thirty years of raising and home-educating a family of seven children, Eleanor Bertin worked in agriculture journalism. She holds a college diploma in Communications and returned to writing with her first novel, Lifelines. Eleanor lives with her husband and youngest son amid the ongoing renovation of a century home in central Alberta where she reads, writes, sweeps up construction rubble and blogs about a sometimes-elusive contentment at jewelofcontentment.wordpress.com.

Janell Butler Wojtowicz, born and raised on an Iowa farm, was one of those kids who loved to write the dreaded “What I did on summer vacation” essay. It’s no surprise that she has spent her entire 30-year career in writing, including newspaper journalism, Christian higher education and nonprofit public relations, and local government public information. Much of her writing has been the “people stories” of trial, tragedy and triumph, which are reflected in her debut novel. Janell is a freelance writer/editor, and a member of American Christian Fiction Writers. She and her husband, Frank, live in New Brighton, Minnesota. She has two step-sons, a step-daughter-in-law and three step-granddaughters.

John Brooks is a former business executive who was VP at CIBC World Markets. He has also served as CEO of various entrepreneurial companies and was named Ottawa Entrepreneur of the Year. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Masters degree in Physiology. John lives in Ottawa, Canada with his wife Brenda. They have 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren.

Judy La Salle is a retired peace officer who holds a master's degree in Criminology. She was also a college instructor and a newspaper columnist. Judy resides in Central California with her architect husband.
